KYN COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Kynhood is a hyperlocal app that provides real-time news, new events/happenings, and decisionmaking assistance in your neighbourhood, as well as provides a platform for celebrating defining moments of individuals in the community, elevating individual voices and helps to create a marketplace for local businesses in the community.


These Community Guidelines (“Guidelines“) govern “Your” use of our ‘Kynhood’ website/mobile application (“Platform”). The terminologies “You”, “Your”, “User” and “Users” shall be read in context and shall refer to you (the user of this platform).


For the purpose of these guidelines, “Content” shall mean any material including but not limited to text, images, audio, video displayed, broadcasted, published, hosted and communicated to the public on the Platform.


These guidelines have been created to help foster and protect a healthy environment which promotes awareness within this community. By using Kynhood, You agree to these guidelines and the Terms & Conditions. The User must be committed to the guidelines and any overstepping may result in deleted content, disabled accounts and other restrictions.


1.    Ownership of Your content:


  • You must own the content You post or have a valid license to share it on a public Platform. You must not infringe the IP rights of other users of the Platform or any third parties. Share only content that You have created or have explicit permission to use, and always give proper credit.


2.    Restrictions on content:


  • The content that is posted must be legal and should not violate any applicable laws or promote any illegal activities.

  • Kynhood does not support the spread of hate-speech, discrimination, religiously offensive material or terrorism through posted content. Hate speech, harassment, bullying, and discrimination are strictly prohibited. This includes content that is abusive, threatening, or promotes violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other status.

  • Content that is obscene, violent, graphic, containing adult nudity, sexually explicit, promoting suicide, glorifying self-harm, harmful to children, using vulgar language or profanity is prohibited from being posted on the Platform. Prohibited content may include but need not be limited to photos, videos or digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, breasts, anus or buttocks, glorification of physical harm, torture, injury, death, etc. In certain cases, content may be allowed to be posted for public awareness after the scrutiny of the Platform weighing the public interest value against the risk of harm

  • No content posted may contain a software virus or any other computer code, file or program designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer resource.

  • No content posted shall be in the nature of an online game that is not verified as a permissible online game or be in the nature of advertising or promoting such an online game or of any online gaming intermediary offering such an online game.

  • Be as honest as possible. Do not spread misinformation, fake news or create accounts for the purpose of misleading others, knowingly and intentionally communicating patently false, untrue or misleading information.


3.    Interactions on the Platform:


  • You must respect the other users on the Platform. Kynhood has no tolerance towards cyberbullying, harassment or invasion of other’s privacy.

  • Do not artificially collect likes, followers or shares, post repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contact people for commercial purposes without their consent.

  • Do not impersonate others on the Platform. You need not use Your real name on the Platform, as long as You have provided accurate and up-to-date information whilst setting up Your account.


4.    Keeping the community strong:


  • In order to promote a safe, decorous community we request You to report anything you think may violate our guidelines by using our built-in reporting option.

  • In case You come across content that You do not like, but doesn’t necessarily violate our guidelines, You are free to unfollow or block the account. You may delete any comment on Your post that You do not appreciate.

  • If in case a dispute or misunderstanding cannot be resolved between members of the community, reports can be made to the Platform. If in case someone has posted something You own, You may file a copyright or trademark report.

  • We may work with law enforcement when we believe that there’s risk of physical harm or threat to public safety.
